How is Getting Equipped different from DC–Thoroughly Equipped?
-The length and depth of Getting Equipped is much less than DC. DC requires about five hours of study per week over 21 months; Getting Equipped requires about two hours per week over 36 weeks.
-The format is quite similar– Bible memory, reading, study. But in Getting Equipped, study and new memory verses rotate every other week with reading and review verses.
-In DC, you read the entire Bible; in Getting Equipped, you read the entire NT, Proverbs, and a sampling of Psalms.
-The topics in Getting Equipped are mostly from DC101-202, with three from the 400-level (legalism/liberty, will of God, Genesis 1-3). The week on marriage was edited to include pre-marriage topics. (If you want to use our DC marriage questions that week, let me know and we’ll send you a PDF of those.) We also drop most of the articles, which means Getting Equipped goes down to one book.
